Summerville Miracle League receives grant from the Columbus HOPE Foundation
The Columbus HOPE Foundation continues its support of the Miracle League. On December 15th, a Columbus HOPE Foundation grant of $2,304.00 was presented to the Summerville Miracle League by the Knights of Columbus Council 11910. The presentation was made at the K of C business meeting by Grand Knight Chris Beumel. Steve Hatton accepted the check on behalf of the Miracle League. Also at the presentation were Lou Picaut of the Knights of Columbus and his son Ray Picaut a Summerville Miracle League baseball player and volunteer. The Summerville Miracle League is a non-profit baseball league for special needs children and adults in the Summerville area. The Columbus HOPE Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to bettering the environment for, and increasing the self-reliance and dignity of people with Intellectual Disabilities and special needs.
Columbus HOPE Foundation Grant to Heros on Horseback
Knights of Columbus Council 12263 presented a Columbus HOPE Foundation grant for $1,801.00 to Heroes on Horseback, in support of their equine-assisted therapeutic riding program. Heros on Horseback Executive Director Robert E. Lee stated "the donation will be used to provide tuition assistance to special needs children in our community, to participate in our empowering equine-assisted therapy".
LAKE CITY, SC -- Florence County School District Three’s Office of Exceptional Children received a boost for its annual Special Events Day from the Columbus HOPE Foundation.
